The course of study in Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) offered by GB College of Pharmacy, Meerut, comprises of Part-I and Part-II.
The course of study for D.Pharm shall extend over a period of two academic years with each academic year spread over a period of not less than 180 working days per year followed by a practical training not less than 500 hours.
10+2 science stream with physics,Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics or pass Diploma in Pharmacy with a minimum aggregate of 60% Marks. For SC/ST or category-I the minimum percentage of marks for admission to D.Pharma course shall not be less 40% in PUC or its quivalent examination(PCB OR PCM OR PCMB)P.C. and Computer science;P.C and Electronics.
The candidates are normally expected to attend all allotted work period (both theory and practicals) in each of the prescribed subject. They should attend 80%of the total number of classes conducted in each of the subject to be eligible to appear for the university examination in that subject.
The D.Pharm is one of the job oriented course among the science students after class 12th. This course provides a large no. of job opportunities in both the public and private sector.
After D.Pharm, the students can pursue higher studies in Pharmacy by taken direct admission in B.Pharm IInd Year.
